Saturday.

Saturday was a beautiful day! It started with a fantastic meal by Franco and a classic picture on his front porch.

We then headed downtown San Jose to the Chocolate Festival. Yes, you read that right. The Chocolate Festival. It was held in the National Stadium - which was neat to see up close and personal. The team is off playing in the World Cup, so the stadium is being used for other things - like a Chocolate Festival. It was a neat cultural experience to help us get accumulated. We also talked about living on mission no matter where we go and putting our prophetic training and activation to work.

Tasting of raw cacao seeds!

After the festival we headed to the Abraham Project for the first time to have lunch and a tour! The story of the AP is a beautiful lesson in faith, dreaming big,  and knowing nothing is impossible for God. If you have never heard the story of the Abraham Project, I encourage you to check it out here: https://www.abrahamproject.org/history/

Our tour included of course a walk over to Phase Two which FINALLY AFTER THREE YEARS HAS A BRIDGE. This brought a few of us close to tears.
To walk on this is truly an act of Jesus.

Back over on Phase One, our missionary Angie is sharing how the AP believes for everything God has promised them and does not build until He has provided. The roof pictured here is one beautiful picture of that promise.

Standing on Phase One - that now overlooks the cleared land on Phase Two.

Here is the view of the Children's Homes on the AP Property.

Walking the streets of Costa Rica :)

We attended Youth Group on Saturday evening. Here is Sarah's annual picture with the same group she knows and loves and returns to see every year. It has been beautiful to watch them all grow up!

Dinner is served thanks to our amazing missionary Bruce.
Thank you Bruce and Angie for hosting us and loving us so well!

After dinner our team led the missionaries from the AP in a time of worship, prayer and prophetic art. We had originally had this planned for something else, but the Lord is good and gracious and we believe this is exactly what He had planned. Flexibility is key for trips like these and it's more of learning that His plan is so much bigger than ours even if we can't see the whole picture at the time. This night was super special and a blessing to all of us.

John and I took care of things on this side of the "glass" so the missionaries could enjoy :)

It was a long, beautiful, glorious, full first day.
