Wednesday.

By Wednesday our team had bonded quite nicely. Before the day even started we were being given "floss" lessons by Jack with a little help by Jon.

Front Porch at Franco's is the place to be :)

Picked up by Bruce and Company we headed to La Carpio - a community across town that the Abraham Project has had the opportunity to pour into and minister to. We went last year for the first time and were excited for the opportunity to return.

The day started with some history of the church - how God has provided for them in incredible ways and the background of La Carpio from the Pastor and his wife.

We then headed downstairs for the feeding program that the church offers 4 days a week. For many of the children - this is the only meal they will receive all day.

After serving lunch, we headed upstairs for fun, games, and crafts. The first part was led by the ladies in the church. The second half was crafts led by us.

We ended our afternoon with the kids by giving them a gift of play dough to take home and crosses and their crafts of course. It was such a sweet time.

We then shared lunch together and spent sweet time in prayer with the
pastor and his wife.

We are super grateful for our relationship with the people in La Carpio and look forward to seeing what God has in store for our friendship in the future.

Pictured below: Kristina the Pastors Wife. We took a picture like this last year too. Us little people have to stick together :)

Tuesday.

Tuesday found us back at the Abraham Project for round two of
Day Care and Construction Work.

This week in the Day Care our team (with lessons written by Sarah) we have been teaching on Jesus has the power to heal. We have been Using Jesus Heals Blind Bartimaeus in Mark 8:22-25 and God gives us the Power to heal by teaching the lesson of Peter and John Heal a Lame man in Acts 3:1-10. These are such powerful Scriptures to teach and we are thankful for these opportunities to preach this Powerful, LIFE CHANGING Good News!

The construction crew got split into two groups. The guys did lawn maintenance around the project while the ladies started digging a ditch. Yep. It.Was.Awesome.

There are lots of creatures to be found while digging a ditch in Costa Rica.

Eventually the boys joined us and then the rest of the Day Care crew joined us.

This ditch will hold the retaining wall to the new property of Phase Two that will hold the new Children's Homes.

We enjoyed a fabulous lunch at the AP - fellowshipping with Stephen Thomas Sr. Then it was a walk to the local bakery and then back to Phase Two. A massive rain storm set in during our walk to the bakery - so it halted the digging and work in the bodega was to be done. Bending rebar was our job for the afternoon and a game of muddy soccer was enjoyed along with our bakery snacks (and some hot peppers by a few who dared). We finished our afternoon at the AP with testimony time from Bruce and Angie. To God be all the Glory. Upon returning to Franco's Jesus gave us a beautiful double rainbow. What a beautiful reminder of His promise that He has made to us.
